Cozumel, Manta Raya Divers.

The owner of Manta Raya Divers, Fernando Gonzalez Aldana, attended a university in Mexico City where he studied general biology taking a particular interest in scuba diving and ocean life. His love for the ocean began already as a child when visiting the Pacific coast of Mexico. The ocean grew to be one of his main passions in life.

After completing dive training with CMAS-FMAS and NAUI he became an instructor. Then, after a few visits to the beautiful Cozumel reefs, Fernando decided to stay working as a dive master in one of the few dive operations in the early 80"s; he really try to make it back after 30 or so days,  but after 8 months decided to stay a bit longer; oh well! After a couple of years the opportunity of getting the instructor level with PADI, came along, meeting new ways and new people was a growing tool that is still helping to learn from everyone as well as share with everyone who is interested in the ocean and the life within.

Sharing the passion for the ocean, scuba diving in the crystal clear waters of Cozumel with divers and snorkelers from all over the world; in combination with what the island of Cozumel has to offer to everyone,  it is a real nice thing to do.  Cozumel now is very different than in the early 80's, is much more of an international and multicultural community, come visit us, share with us what you know, we will be happy to share with you.

Cozumel's Manta Raya Divers was founded in 1995. We wish to thank all the divers, snorkelers, boat riders, ocean lovers  reef passionates, and everyone out there!!! for all the years of continuous support and sharing ! Thanks for believing in all of us! We  are always happy to go diving and in search of more ocean adventures!
